Whenever I link to a book on SelfImprovementExpert.com I usually try to link to the audio book* version. I thought I'd better explain why I do that.
Whilst having a standard paper copy of a book is nice and means that you can pick it up at any time and you can easily refer to parts of it, I believe audio books are much better for the self improvement books. A paper book is great for reading when you have nothing else to do or when there is nothing on TV, but an audio book* is far more versatile.
You can listen to an audio book* in your car, whilst doing your housework, whilst working in the garden, pretty much anywhere that you don't have to be conversing with other people. In fact, if you're regularly spending time in the car by yourself listening to music or the radio, you don't seem very dedicated to self improvement. Many people spend hours alone in their car each week that is just wasted. Time that could be spent learning and improving yourself.
It can take weeks to get through a whole paper book if you're only reading it when you get time or just before you go to bed. But if you listen to audio books whenever you can, you can easily get through a book every couple of days. Audio books* are a hugely more efficient way to take in all this extra information. And believe me, there is a lot of it out there to get through. I'd recommend investing in a personal MP3 player or personal CD player if you don't have one already so that you can listen to audio books* all the time.
